The website is built from the work of those who have most inspired me on my spiritual path, and the works are in many ways a reflection of that journey. I receive a lot of email via the site, and so thought it best if I answer some of the more general questions I tend to get asked here. Please read the following information before asking me to link to your page, do your homework for you, search out a poem or promote your commercial venture (books, videos, courses etc.), publish your poetry for you, writing to ask why your favourite poem or poet is not here or suggesting a poem, song or other writing that you think should be here.
I am mum to four children, have my web design work, and am studying for a degree, so as you can imagine, I am very busy. Allspirit is all my own work, there is no organisation, no staff of helpers, and it takes up a considerable amount of my time. Unfortunately I do not have the time to do all that I would like to here, although it is an ongoing work.
The site is not intended to be a comprehensive resource of all the work of any one particular writer or type of writing. Rather, it represents the works I have found most inspiring and useful along my own path. I would like to introduce as wide range of material to visitors as possible, and encourage you to investigate further that which particularly interests you via internet searches and books. There are also lots of poets, authors spiritual teachers and so on whose work I greatly admire. Also, many songs and artists I like, but many are not here for reasons of copyright, time restraints etc.. If someone is not on the site, it doesn't mean I haven't heard of them or intend to slight them...
I am sorry, I cannot receive submissions, or comment on your poetry. If you wish to share your poetry, or have others comment on it, you are welcome to post it on the allspirit list, where several poets post their work.
I get many, many requests from people wanting me to link to their site. If you wish me to consider linking to your site, please ensure you have a link to Allspirit in place before writing to me.
If you wish to add a graphic and link - just right click to save the chosen graphic to your computer, upload it to your own server, and link to http://www.allspirit.co.uk
Alternatively, you may just wish to provide a text link.
Please contact me and let me know that you have added a link, so that I can take a look at your site.
I cannot guarantee reciprocal links, but do link to sites I find useful and worthwhile, regardless of whether they link back or not. I don't consider sites who write asking for a link, who don't already have a link to Allspirit in place. Thanks for understanding.
I get a lot of mail asking me to promote commercial ventures to 'as many people as possible' or 'everyone you know'. Unfortunately I don't have the time to do free promotional work for commercial organisations, even though spiritually oriented. Nor do I wish to keep sending advertisements to my friends. I hope you understand.
Lots of people write and ask me to find poems for them, and usually I manage to find it in a few minutes by keying the relevant words into Google Please do this yourself before writing to me. If you cannot find it after searching, please give me as much information as possible.
Having got all of the formalities out of the way, I am happy to receive email with comments queries, questions, or just hear from you if you wish to say hello. You are welcome to contact me, but please note I could be slow responding. I am happy to discuss spirituality with anybody, and hope you understand that the above guidelines are to weed out a lot of the mail which I just cannot help with anyway.
